National Education Policy (NEP)


The new National Policy on Education (NEP) is a policy formulated by Government of India on Wednesday July 29,2020. Union Ministers for information and Broadcasting (I&B) Prakash Javadekar and Human Resource Development (HRD) and Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank  made the announcement on the NEP-2020.

In history, The first NEP was announce by Government of India by Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in 1968, the second change by Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi in 1986 and third change by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2020.

What's New in 2020 NEP :


The Ministry of Human Resource Development released NEP-2019. The draft of NEP discusses for critical thinking, holistic experiential, essential learning and analysis-based learning and also about change 10+2 system into 5+3+3+4 system. On 29 July,2020 the cabinet approved a NEP and change to the existing Indian education system.
According to the new NEP investment for education sector will be increased 6 % of GDP . As compare GDP of NEP 2020 with previous year is extremely good.
